Kildare Psychotherapy & Counselling works with anxiety, trauma, autism and ADHD, relationship difficulties, grief, low self-esteem, emotional regulation and other issues that can become difficult to manage.

THERAPY

Reasons people come to therapy.

People rarely arrive with one neat problem. These are some of the issues most commonly brought to Kildare Psychotherapy & Counselling.

HOW THE SERVICE WORKS

Built around the person, not the label.

Kildare Psychotherapy & Counselling uses an integrative approach rather than applying the same model to every client.

The work may draw on humanistic and psychodynamic psychotherapy, CBT, mindfulness-based approaches and trauma-informed practice where they are useful. The method follows the work rather than the other way around.

THE PSYCHOTHERAPIST BEHIND THE PRACTICE

Allan Clarke

MSc · BSc (Hons) · MIACP

Kildare Psychotherapy & Counselling was founded by Allan Clarke, an accredited psychotherapist and Certified Trauma Specialist with 15 years of clinical experience.

His clinical work includes adults, adolescents, parents and neurodivergent clients, with particular experience in trauma, anxiety, attachment, identity and emotional regulation.

Allan was diagnosed autistic in adulthood. That experience also informs his professional interest in masking, identity and what can happen when somebody spends years feeling different without having a framework for understanding why.
